The Serious Bit
Kelly has a number of job shares; on Mondays she job shares with Sibylle Harrison, working on Mondays across permanent roles in the Charity/not-for-profit, education and construction/engineering sectors. On alternate Thursdays she job shares with Jackie Pinfold and Lee Short, working with the Professional and Business Services team and FMCG and Consumer Brands teams, respectively. On Fridays Kelly covers Jaqueline Evans.
After a successful career in media relations, culminating in the role of Head of Press and PR at the London Eye, Kelly decided to ride horses and teach English in South America. On her return to the UK, she retrained in horticulture and managed one of the busiest garden centres in London.
She now works at Stopgap one day a week and as a gardener for the National Trust, enabling her to combine her communications experience and passion for plants to great effect.
The Fun Bit
When I was little I wanted to be…
...a journalist because it seemed glamorous and exciting, but my plans were scuppered when I realised I couldn’t actually speel or right.
The most daring thing I’ve ever done is…
...having my head shaved in Reykjavik – I thought I’d look like an edgy, pixie-ish Icelandic girl. I just looked like a boy.
In my spare time you can find me…
...reading, gardening, drinking white wine, cycling and running.
Just a quick note to thank you ever so much for the yummy chocolates you sent over – a very pleasant, unexpected surprise! My first week has gone really well, everyone here is extremely friendly and welcoming and the role seems like a great fit for me. Thanks for everything
Having dealt directly with Kelly for a very short period of time, her expertise in her industry as well as her positive attitude and her consistent communication skills, puts her ahead of many.
