The Serious Bit
Jane works Wednesdays to Fridays in a job share with Zoe Vannozzi who works Mondays and Tuesdays and she works on freelance roles in the following sectors; Charity/Not-For-Profit, Education, Construction/Engineering, Government and Public Services and Pharmaceutical and Healthcare.
Jane started her career in integrated agencies including FKB, Carlson and Marketing Perspectives before having a break to have her son whilst working part time. She then re-joined brand design agency Blue Marlin as New Business Manager before moving sideways to a Senior Account Manager role, where she was for 5 years.
During her time at Blue Marlin, she was most proud of her work to launch a new bottled water, where she took the reigns of the project and team from start to finish including design inception, attending focus groups for structural and label options, briefing artwork and print stages as well as sourcing all peripheral aspects including caps, and producing convincing trade materials to gain listings in all major supermarkets!
The Fun Bit
My first ever job was…
...selling advertising space in the grad publication ‘Graduate Opportunities’ which was a real eye opener.
The most daring thing I’ve ever done is…
...leaving a full time role to go part-time to spend more time with my son. I never looked back and never regretted it. Oh and getting a dog. Then another dog. It has cost me a fortune but they’re friends for their life and completely adorable.
In my spare time you can find me…
...in the garden growing things.
The brand I am most passionate about is …
...Nivea becuase it's a wonderful heritage brand with modern relevancy. It saw me through childhood and I use many of the skincare products now; it's honest, simply packaged, all the products are fresh, a pleasure to use, available almost everywhere for almost all your skin's needs and is excellent value to boot. What's not to like.
Stopgap has exceeded my expectations. They supplied us with two of the finest account directors I have ever worked with, but also they found them without difficulty. I believe this in part reflects their selection process but also the company’s approach in not only understanding the technical aspects of the brief but most importantly the culture and values of the candidates and the agencies involved. To cap it all, their staff – whoever picks up the phone – feel like real grown ups who understand just how critical it is to find the right fit. In a world where I suspect temp to perm hiring will increasingly be the model for expensive, critical hirings, I believe Stopgap have a particular advantage.
